Christmas on the Square
1st Saturday in December
Taking place on Saturday, December 2nd, Christmas on the Square has become an annual event that kids of all ages look forward to!

Photos with Santa at the Historic Courthouse on the Square from 2pm - 5pm, activities for kids like ornament painting and games, balloon art, caroling and the tree-lighting, and of course, our night-time parade @ 6pm!
​
Truly an event that the entire community gets behind, Christmas on the Square is a great way to spend an evening and is sure to create memories for years to come.

Held on the same Saturday, the Blairsville-Union County Chamber of Commerce hosts 'Holly, Jolly Christmas' which features breakfast with Santa, games, a tiny train for kids to ride and photos with Santa. Later on that same day, the Union County Farmers Market hosts the 'Kris Kringle Market' that offers a wide-variety of crafts, activities for kids and of course, Santa!
If you're looking for a fun day to get into the Christmas spirit, the first Saturday of December is definitely for you!

Taking place every Friday evening June thru October, and a seasonal show in December, these concerts feature regional musicians that showcase our mountain heritage.
​
These free concerts are hosted by the Union County Historical Society and are held in the Old Courthouse on the Square.
​
Friday night concerts begin at 7pm, doors open at 6pm. We recommend you get there early to make sure you get a seat!
